Thing are starting to heat up around the club both figuratively and unfortunately literally. It appears that summer is upon us with windless hot mornings and Sea Breeze afternoons. Good times and great events over the last couple of weeks. The Sailmonster “crew” did a great job on the Pig Roast. The food was delicious and the party went 6 hours long and 6 hours strong.
Our Luffing Lassies hosted the Rainbow Regatta on Monday the 16th. In addition, to being great hosts they represented the Club well on the water with a 2nd overall Team Pram, 4 out of top 5 Sunfish apprentice, 4 out of 5 Sunfish overall and 1st and 2nd Sunfish Masters.… Read full article

New Membership is up 50% over same period last year. 12 New Members since last meeting, 2 captured from Open House.
Volunteerism is off the charts. +221 hours over same period last year. And it shows, facility is looking kept.

Membership, Feb. is a notoriously slow month for Membership, but we did have a slight increase over previous years.
As renewals come in we are issuing the new “Red” 2012 storage stickers and have both Locker and Yard storage available at this time.

… Read full articleAlthough we have enjoyed a mostly mild winter Sunday, March 4th we were met with Gale force winds and the cancellation, once again, of the Cherry Pie regatta.
The Cherry Pie cancellation wasn’t the only loss that day. Two boats from in or around the Mooring Field washed away during the 9 hours of sustained 26mph winds with gusts exceeding 40.

Membership and membership activity has continued on a health and steady pace. To date we have captured 40 New Memberships that represent 57 New Members
New Members have brought new revenue and to date we are tracking slightly over 8% of collected income vs 2011.
